Medicare Cardholders

Auburn Road Medical Centre is a mixed billing medical clinic, where our GPs are independent sole trading practitioners dedicated to prioritizing your health and wellbeing above all else. To maintain our high standard of care, some patients will need to pay a ‘gap payment’ for appointments. This gap payment, ranging from $25 to $45 depending on individual circumstances, represents the out-of-pocket cost difference between our private fee and your Medicare rebate.

We understand that medical expenses can be challenging, so we offer several affordable options:

• Pensioners, Health Care Card holders, and children under 16 will continue to be bulk billed.
• Vaccine appointments will be bulk billed, although the vaccine itself will incur a fee for patients not eligible for a government vaccine program.
• Telehealth consultations will be billed at a concession fee of $25.
• Short appointments for normal test results, repeat scripts, and medical certificates will also be billed at a concession fee of $25.
• Full-time students under 25 years old with a valid student card receive a concession fee of $25.
• All other appointments will require payment of the full consultation fee with a gap fee of $45.
