Medicare Cardholders
Auburn Road Medical Centre is a mixed billing medical clinic, where we prioritise the health and wellbeing of our patients above all else. Some patients will need to pay a ‘gap payment’ for appointments. A gap payment, $20-40 depending on individual circumstances, is an out-of-pocket cost that is the difference between the practice’s private fee and your Medicare rebate.
We understand that some patients may have difficulty affording medical care, which is why we are committed to providing affordable options:
- Pensioners, Health care card holder and children under 16 will continue to be bulk billed.
- Vaccine appointments will be bulk billed. The vaccine itself will incur a fee for those patients that are not eligible for a government vaccine program.
- Care Plans and Mental Health Care Plans will continue to be bulk billed.
- Telehealth will be billed at a concession fee ($20).
- Short appointment made only for Normal Test Results/Repeat Scripts/Medical Certificates will be billed at a concession fee ($20).
- Full time Students (under 25 year old) with a valid student card receive a concession fee ($20).
- Except for the above, other appointments need to pay a full consultation fee with the gap fee ($40)
